Bernardo joined the TKREO team in 2020 as a Reinforcing Detailer, bringing more than 18 years of experience in the New Zealand reinforcing industry.

Since immigrating to New Zealand in 2007, he has prepared detailed cut‑and‑bend and site placing drawings in accordance with project plans and specifications. Bernardo has previously worked with Steel & Tube Reinforcing and Fletcher Reinforcing, contributing to major Auckland projects including the Newmarket Viaduct, New Lynn Railway Trench, Victoria Park Tunnel, and Ormiston Town Centre.

Prior to moving to New Zealand, Bernardo was a registered Civil Engineer in the Philippines. Over a period of 19 years he progressed to a senior role as a structural design engineer specialising in reinforced concrete buildings.
